Bakrid is one of the main and important festivals for Muslim devotees across the globe. Bakrid is also known as eid ul adha in Islamic countries is celebrated as a festival of sacrifice.

Bakrid comes o the 10th day of 12th Islamic month Dhul Hijja. This year Bakrid 2011 meaning festival of sacrifice is celebrated on 7thNovember 2011. Devotees dress themselves with new clothes and offer prayers. Devotees offer a prayer known as Dua for the peace of Muslims. They offer one bakra to god. with relatives, friends and family members. They distribute meat to the poor. Muslim Devotees Prepare for Visiting of Mecca known as Hajj begins from this festival.   They prepare special Bakrid recipes and enjoy the food. Bakrid festival can also be said to be the festival of feast.
