In 2007 it was started some people who are willing to protect the planet. Wwf is the organization that looks after the world earth hour. The number of nations, cities and citizens participating in the event of earth hour is increasing.  Last year in 2011 nearly 135 countries and 5251 cities across the world have participated in the event of earth hour 2011.  This year in 2012 for the earth hour 2012 the participants is likely to cross the number of last year participants. This response is coming up voluntarily. The aim of the event is to reduce global warming and to save energy for the sustaining of the global environment for future generations.

Earth hour 2012 date: This event is organized on the last Saturday of March every year. This year in 2012 the last Saturday is falling on 31^st. Hence 31^st march 2012 is the date and 8.30 PM is the local time of the city that is chosen for the event of Earth Hour 2012 day. “I will if you will’ is the slogan for the campaign of the earth hour 2012 day. Lights are switched off for one hour between 8.30 PM and 9.30 PM for the event.  Only essential lights for the safety purpose are on and the remaining non essential lights are put to switch off on the event of earth day 2012.

Citizens of the respective cities and nations should contribute for the success of the campaign of the earth hour 2012. At least on this day people should take oath to save the planet by conserving energy and saving the energy. Only this way we can save the planet earth for future generations to live happily with out any constraints of energy and with pollution free environment. Every individual should try to contribute for the campaign voluntarily for the success of the event and spread the message across masses.
