International Youth day 2012 Theme

Every group is having its day of observance in the world. Like that one is dedicated for the youth across the world. IYD (International Youth day) is celebrated on the 12^th of August every year by UN (United Nations).  Youth are the future citizens of the world. UN has recognized this and Youth day is celebrated to make young people involved in bettering the society. UN recognizes youth in the age group of 15 to 24 year. This age group or youth is nearly 0ne sixth of the world population. The first international youth day was observed in the year 2000.  Youth day is celebrated to enhance the role to be played by youth in developing then society.

IYD 2012 / International Youth Day 2012 Date/ celebrations/ activities: Every year Youth day is organized on August 12^th.  The activities on this day include Public meetings and discussions about the youth, TV and Radio program especially dedicated for the youth and formation of forums for the youth and discussing about the activities to be done for involving youth in developing the society/ world.

International Youth Day 2012 Theme:

One theme is selected for every youth day and is promoted. This year in 2012 the theme of international youth day is “Building   a better World- Partnering with Youth”. UN is keen on partnering with youth for building a better world and involving them in the areas of entrepreneurship, employment, Protection of rights, politics, education and health care.
