Three chariots are prepared for Ratha Yatra. These chariots will look like the replicas of the temple. The chariots are almost 45 feet in height. These chariots are pulled by a rope by the devotees participating in this Ratha Yatra procession. This year for Ratha Yatra 2012, the arrangements have already begun. Idols of lord Jagannath and his brother Balabhadra and sister subhadra are taken in three separate chariots as procession in the town ofPuri. These idols are kept at Gundicha temple and kept there for nine days. And these idols are got back in then same manner as procession and kept in their actual place.
