Public Holidays in 2012, Government/ Bank Holidays 2012

Indiais having more number of holidays as it respects all religions equally. Festivals belonging to Hindu, Christian, and Muslim and Sikh religion are given holidays. Apart from that national holidays are given for national festivals like Independence Day, republic day and Gandhi Jayanti. Some states are giving holidays for local festivals and in commemoration of local leaders belong to their states.
