Lord Jagannath temple was built at Puri around 13th century. Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, subhadra, sudarhan, Madhaba, sridevi and Bhudevi are the main deities at lord jagannath temple at Puri. Rath Yatra is main even organized at Jagannath temple at Puri.

Puja Timings at Jagannath temple: The temple opens at 5.00 AM and closes at 1.30 PM. In the evening it opens at 5.30 PM and is closed at 9.30 PM. Pilgrims can have darshan during this period. There is no entry fee for darshan of lord jagannath at Puri. Non Hindus are not allowed into the temple.
Mangala Aarti is performed at 5.00 AM. Mailam is change of dresses of the deity and is performed at 6.00 AM. Abakash is bathing of idols and is organized at 6.00 AM to 6.30 AM. Sahanamela, Roshahoma surya puja, Gopala ballava puja, sakala dhupa, Madhyanha, sandhya Aarti, sandhya Dhupa are the puja performed at lord jagannath temple.
