Every have to cast their votes to have a strong democracy. As assembly elections are coming near in west Bengal, every body starts searching for voters list. They search whether their names are included in then voters list or not? CEO (Chief electoral officer) West Bengal is the authority for issues related to elections in the state of WB (West Bengal). www.ceowestbengal.nic.in is the official website of chief electoral officer of west Bengal.
EPIC (Electors Voter identity cards) were issued by the electoral officers across west Bengal. Voters have to carry their voter id cards (epic cards) along with them to cast their votes.
Finding name in Voters list in WB (West Bengal): Voters can search online at www.ceowestbengal.nic.in whether their name is included in the voters list for a particular assembly constituency. This is the first assembly elections that are conducted in west Bengal after de limitation of assembly constituencies. Now the names of constituencies have been changed. Some new assembly constituencies are added and some assembly segments are deleted during the process of de limitation of constituencies. By searching with their epic card (voter ID card) number one can find to which constituency his address falls and the polling station and booth are given. Then the voters can cast their votes at the polling booth/ station on the day of elections for West Bengal assembly.
