Window AC vs Split AC power Consumption: which air conditioner is better?
As the temperatures are rising due to summer everybody is searching for air conditioners. Every body gets confused as to which type of air conditioner is better Window AC or split AC?
For rooms having area of below 200 sft window ac is ideal. There should be window open to the outside to fit window ac. When there are no windows and there is no space to fix the ac, there is no choice to install window ac and one has to go for split ac. Single phase power is sufficient for window air conditioner whereas for split air conditioner 3 phase power will be better.
Power consumption of window ac and split ac: window air conditioner requires more power when compared to split ac of similar capacity.
Compare window ac and split ac: Noise inside will be more with window ac compared to split air conditioner. For rooms of 200 sft above size split air conditioners are ideal. Noise levels inside the rooms will be much less with split ac compared with window
ac. Prices of window ac will be less compared with split air conditioners. Installation of window ac is easier compared to split ac. For split ac the condenser has to be mounted/ installed outside the room and the main unit is fitted in the room. Windows ac can be simply installed in the window of the room. The size of the window should be more than the window air conditioner.
